Boats come complete with skirt paddles, extra paddle, life jacket(s), rescue gear (including required rope), pump and sponge.


No refunds for early returns. Lost or damaged equipment will be replaced at the renter's expense, to the satisfaction of Horizons. A damage deposit may be required. Late returns will be charged at the going rate.


The renter is completely responsible for gear while they have it, regardless of who else uses it at the time. Transport of gear must be in a safe, reliable method using either pads or racks and pads. We reserve the right to decline the rental if the user does not have proper transport equipment. We also may insist that you take some instruction before you rent a boat, depending on your intended use and experience.

We expect you to treat our equipment with utmost care and consideration and return it the way you received it. Take care of your equipment and your equipment will take care of you. We promise to have clean, properly equipped boats for you upon pick up. Call early to avoid disappointment. Please paddle safely and ask for any clarification on unfamiliar gear. We also offer introductory programs to help you prepare safely for your trip or outing. Be sure to plan ahead for the pick up of equipment.
