Refining Your Stroke
1.5 hours - to be held on selected evenings in Sudbury during June and July.
Aim: To focus on the details that make each stroke efficient and help you to define your own paddling style.Call us for registration and dates.

Improve your forward stroke and and turning skills with edging and braces. We can also work on your essentials of assisted self rescue and rescue with a partner. The bow and side rescues can be thoroughly covered.  The clinic will run Tuesday's and Thursdays every afternoon and evening but you can request a different time and we'll do our best to accomodate you.

Designed to give you a taste of what sea kayaking is all about, these week-ends will start you out on the basics with the skills clinics and gets you comfortable enough to spend the second day cruising Lake Huron on a day trip. Details Includes kayaking equipment and instruction. Make it a week end get-away.

This course is for those already acquainted with the essential skills and presumes you have had some exposure to kayak rescue. The course will instruct and test candidates on essential manouvering and rescue skills and introduce navigation and towing skills on the day trip. Why take a PC course? Intro to Sea KayakingWe have designed this stream to help those just starting out by ensuring they get a comprehensive and graduated program that will lead them, step by step through the necessary skills for safe and enjoyable sea kayaking. We strongly recommend that those starting out use this stream. Paddlers have a choice between certification and none-certification courses. Beginner kayakers are encouraged to complete these designated workshops. To receive the Paddle Canada Flatwater certificate, participants will need to register ahead on the official registration form. Together they introduce the skills and attitudes necessary for safe independent sea kayak travel. You must indicate which stream you want when registering.
