Newfoundland

(8 days) $1950 – 60-100 kms

August 13-20, 2013

Whales, icebergs and that warm east coast hospitality. The coastline is rugged and wild, dotted by the quaint out ports is frequented by a vast array of bird species and shaped by wind and tides. Mist shrouded islands, towering icebergs, and breaching whales all to discover in an average day. Visit resettled fishing outports and recapture the ambience of a lost chapter of Newfoundland history. Our tour begins at Round Harbour, the consummate traditional outport and the ideal point from which to launch our adventure. First we paddle the cove and then it’s off to discover Green Bay where icebergs and whales may lie hidden in sheltered coves.
